Selective hydrolysis of N-acetyl-L-leucine to L-leucine occurred, and the L-leucine crystd. from the reaction mixt. and was filtered off in pure form. The N-acetyl-L-isoleucine in the filtrate was hydrolyzed with HCl, and fractional crystn. gave pure L-isoleucine. .
