DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 1 (Pharmacology) The effects of 1,5-dicaffeoylquinic acid (1,5-DCQA) on the level of cytochrome P 450 in rat hepatic microsomes were studied. Wistar rats were orally administered with 1,5-DCQA (160 mg/(kg d) and 500 mg/(kg d)) for 5 d, the hepatic microsome was isolated and homogenized, and the content of P 450 in the hepatic homogenate was detd. by spectrophotometry at 450-490 nm. There was no significant difference in the level of P 450 in hepatic microsome between the two dose groups and normal control (P >0.05), and also between the two dose groups (P >0.05).In this experiment, several chemicals are used like 9035-51-2 and 30964-13-7 The results showed that 1,5-DCQA does not induce the changes in P 450 content in hepatic microsome, which is dose-independent. .
