Catalysts for reforming of hydrocarbons
Catalysts for reforming of hydrocarbons. Ohmori, Tadashi; Fujiso, Tokuo; Yasui, Eiji; Nomura, Soichi; Aizawa, Yukio (Nippon Oil Co., Ltd. , Japan). Fr. Demande FR 2545095 A1 2 Nov 1984, 29 pp. (French). (France). CODEN: FRXXBL. CLASS: IC: C10G035-09; B01J027-06; B01J031-12; B01J031-20; C07C006-00. APPLICATION: FR 84-6720 27 Apr 1984. PRIORITY: JP 83-73842 28 Apr 1983; JP 83-225434 1 Dec 1983. DOCUMENT TYPE: Patent CA Section: 51 (Fossil Fuels, Derivatives, and Related Products) Section cross-reference(s): 67 Reforming catalysts of good activity, selectivity, and stability were obtained by impregnating an inorg. support with solns. of Pt and Re complexes, subjecting the impregnate to thermal treatment, hydrogenation (or oxidn. followed by hydrogenation), and calcining. Thus, chlorided g-Al2O3 (prepd. by impregnation with HCl soln. and calcination, Cl content 1.2%) 10 g was impregnated with a soln. contg. Pt15(CO)30.2NEt4 40 mg and Re2(CO)10 53 mg in 50 mL deoxygenated THF. The solvent was driven off and the impregnate was dried at 180° in vacuo, hydrogenated at 300°, sulfided with H2S (2 h at 480°), and hydrogenated until the S content was 0.001%. The catalyst was then used in reforming of n-heptane [142-82-5] (480°, 7 bars, space velocity 2 h-1). The conversion was 95.8% and the yields of PhMe [108-88-3], benzene [71-43-2], and isoheptane [31394-54-4] were 23.3, 1.3, and 18.9%, resp.
Activity of platinum-rhenium-iridium catalysts in hydrocarbon dehydrogenation and dehydrocyclization reactions
Activity of platinum-rhenium-iridium catalysts in hydrocarbon dehydrogenation and dehydrocyclization reactions. Kozlov, N. S.; Mostovaya, L. Ya.; Skrigan, E. A.; Zhizhenko, G. A. (Inst. Fiz.-Org. Khim., Minsk, USSR). Neftekhimiya, 17(2), 211-16 (Russian) 1977. CODEN: NEFTAH. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 51 (Fossil Fuels, Derivatives, and Related Products) Section cross-reference(s): 67 The promotion of an Al2O3-suggported Pt catalyst by Re and Ir increased the yield of arom. hydrocarbons in n-heptane [142-82-5] dehydrocyclization but had no effect on the yield of isoheptane [31394-54-4] and decreased somewhat that of the cracking products. The catalyst after the promotion had increased heat stability and resistance against poisoning by S. The promoted catalysts had a higher dispersion degree than the nonpromoted one, as shown by electronic-microscopic anal. The catalyst contg. Pt, Re, and Ir in av. wt. ratio of 5:5:1 had the highest activity.
