The effect of antioxidants, ionol [128-37-0], hydroquinone [123-31-9], diaphen NN [93-46-9], and Neozone D [135-88-6] on chemiluminescence was also investigated. I has significant chemiluminescence properties and is oxidizable. Oxidn. and polymn. of III, IV and V at 90-140° showed that ionol, hydroquinone and diaphen NN did not inhibit the reactions.

The error was <3%. Since the absorbance of the starting material impurities, Z-3-methyl-2-penten-4-yn-1-ol [6153-05-5] and 2-methyl-4-(1,1,3-trimethyl-2-cyclohexen-2-yl)-2-butenal [3155-71-3], overlapped that of I, spectrometry could not be used. I was then detd. by gas chromatog. of its trimethylsilyl deriv. 6153-05-5 and 3155-71-3 are just another two chemicals used in this study. with di-Bu phthalate as internal std. and a stationary phase of 3% OV-225 on Chromaton with flame-ionization detection. .
