DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 25 (Noncondensed Aromatic Compounds) Section cross-reference(s): 1 Fifteen 2,4,5-(O2N)(MeO)2C6H2CONRR1 [I; R = H, R1 = substituted phenyl, naphthyl; or (NRR1) = piperidino, pyrrolidino, morpholino], six 2,4,5-(RCH:N)(MeO)2C6H2CO2H (II; R = Ph, substituted phenyl), and seven 2,3-(RCH:N)(MeO)C6H3CO2H (III; R = Ph, substituted phenyl) were prepd.; of these, 14 compds. belonging to different series were tested in vitro for amebicidal activity and were found to be ineffective. I were prepd. by converting 2,4,5-(O2N)(MeO)2C6H2CO2H to its acid chloride and treating this with HNRR1. II and III were prepd. by reaction of the resp. aminomethoxybenzoic acid with the appropriate aldehydes. .
