Magnetic nanoparticles for hyperthermia cancer therapy
All Rights Reserved. Magnetic nanoparticles for hyperthermia cancer therapy. Hirai, Hiroyuki; Kojima, Masayoshi (Fuji Photo Film Co., Ltd., Japan). Jpn. Kokai Tokkyo Koho JP 2007031393 A 8 Feb 2007, 12pp. (Japanese). (Japan). CODEN: JKXXAF. APPLICATION: JP 2005-219997 29 Jul 2005. 32289-26-2 and 1332-37-2 are cas registry numbers of chemicals which are used as reagents here. DOCUMENT TYPE: Patent CA Section: 63 (Pharmaceuticals) The invention relates to a magnetic nanoparticle for use in tumor-selective hyperthermia therapy, wherein the magnetic nanoparticle has an av. particle size 1-100 nm, and the surface of the nanoparticle is covered with an aggregation-inhibitory compd., which is bound with tumor-selective antibody. For example, iron oxide prepd. from iron (III) chloride hexahydrate and iron (II) chloride tetrahydrate was mixed with 3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane and tetramethylammonium hydroxide to obtain surface-coated iron oxide particle. The particle was then mixed with Fab' fraction of anti-EGFR monoclonal antibody to obtain a magnetic nanoparticle of the present invention. .
