The flavonoid contents of old and young leaves differed. The fruits contained all the above-named compds. except apigenin. Pharmacol. studies showed that the hypotensive effect of Olea exts. is due to the fact that oleuropein [32619-42-4] is also found in olive leaves and fruits. .
