As an example, Na percarbonate [3313-92-6] (bleaching agent) 98 and polyethylene glycol [25322-68-3] 2 parts were mixed, heated at 65° for 20 min, cooled and the powder was pressed to produce tablets for use in laundry.

Thus, II crystals were coated with 2% I in a fluidized bed and mixed with a detergent powder to prep. a compn. which retained 68.4% of the active O during 2 months in a closed carton, compared with 53.2% for untreated II.
