Two small-scale com. pyrantel-medicated feed samples (0.0881 and 0.0106%) were assayed in replicate by 4 collaborators. The mean results of all labs were 0.0862 and 0.0112%. The mean relative std. deviations were 10.57 and 6.48%, resp. Suggestions for improving recovery include: complete dissoln. of std., use of anal. grade KI, careful phase sepn., thorough mixing, and min. exposure of compd. to light.
