Captan [133-06-2], Baycor [55179-31-2], Bavistin [10605-21-7], Ziride [12768-61-5] and B-sten [88528-02-3] were moderately effective against the apple disease. Daconil 2787 [1897-45-6] and Tecto [148-79-8] were the least effective against the scab disease. .

Spraying with thiophanate-methyl [23564-05-8] or benomyl [17804-35-2] formulations, or spraying any of the fungicides one day before or after pollination, had no effect on pollen germination. The relative toxicity to pollen of these materials was confirmed with in vitro tests, which also included several other fungicides.
