The pigment fractions fucoxanthin [3351-86-8], peridinin [33281-81-1], lutein [127-40-2] and chlorophyll b [519-62-0], and myxanthopyll [11004-68-5] are used to indicate the contribution of major algae types to the total pigmentation of the phytoplankton community.

SAN-9789 altered the ultrastructure of Pavlova lutheri after 24 h of incubation, as shown by swelling of chloroplasts and disintegration of the thylakoid membrane.
