The Triclosan is an organic compound with the formula C₁₂H₇Cl₃O₂. The IUPAC name of this chemical is 5-chloro-2-(2,4-dichlorophenoxy)phenol. Uses of Triclosan: it can be used to produce 2-(2,4-dichloro-phenoxy)-4,5-dichloro-phenol at temperature of 20 °C. It will need reagent SO₂Cl₂. The yield is about 100%.
