DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 54 (Extractive Metallurgy) Section cross-reference(s): 72 Pyrolusite ore conc. was suitable as an activator in the oxidn. treatment of spent aq. electrolytes contg. 1313-13-9 and 33908-66-6 are cas registry numbers of chemicals which are used as reagents here. Sb 3-5, Na2S 100-110, Na2S2O3 70-80, Na2SO3 25-30, Na2CO3 50-60, and Na2SO4 70-80 g/L. Sb was leached from the Mn-Sb ppt. with aq. Na2S for electrolyte purifn. and recycling. Removal of Sb was 97-99%, and the residual Sb in soln. was <200 mg/L. The final ppt. was NaSb(OH)6. .
