Four factors are important in controlling the stabilizing behavior of the stabilizers: stabilizer structure, polymer environment, processing history of the polymer, and the presence of antioxidant. Each of these factors is discussed in relation to the stabilizing effects obsd. in order to obtain a clearer understanding of the influence of these variables on the mode of action of hindered piperidine.
