DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 1 (Pharmacology) A simple, sensitive and selective HPLC method was developed for the simultaneous detn. of monoacetylhydrazine (I) [1068-57-1], and isoniazid (II) [54-85-3] in urine samples involving the sepn. of their salicylaldehyde hydrazones. Monobutyrylhydrazine [3538-65-6] was prepd. for use as an internal std. The HPLC system consisted of a 5-mm ODS-Hypersil column with 0.02 M aq. KH2PO4-MeCN (3:2) as the mobile phase and UV detection at 280 nm. The limit of detection was 0.01 mg/mL. No interference was obsd. from the tuberculostatics, ethambutol, p-aminosalicylic acid, streptomycin or triacetazone. .
