DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 70 (Nuclear Phenomena) The 184W(16O, 4n, 5n, 6n) reactions were used to obtain the 196,195,194Pb isotopes and study their deexcitation. The conversion coeffs. were measured for the 3 nuclei and the transition multipolarities deduced. For 194Pb [35105-27-2] and 195Pb [35788-48-8] other new data come from multidimensional coincidences, lifetime and angular distribution measurements. The 195Pb level scheme is rather similar to that of 197Pb, the same thing being true of the 2 even isotopes. The data are compared to the results of microscopic calcns., performed in the 2- or 3-quasi-particle approxn., with a surface delta interaction (cor. to reduce the pairing component intensity).

The exptl. reduced transition probabilities B(E2) are compared with the theor. ones computed within 2 different frameworks.
