The .nu. (C-S) is of the A2u-type and occurs at 320 cm-1 in NH4CF3SO3. H3N(OH)CF3SO3(I) was prepd. by treating CF3SO3H with H3N(OH)Cl. I is hexagonal with a 12.50 .+-. 0.02, c 5.60 .+-. 0.02 .ANG., and .gamma. 120.degree.; d.(x-ray) = 1.60, d.(exptl.) = 1.65, Z = 4. The .nu. 38542-94-8 and 62202-87-3 are just another two chemicals used in this study. (C-S) for I is also obsd. at 320 cm-1. .

FTIR confirms the complexation of chitosan and NH4CF3SO3 with shifting of the amine peak at 1591 cm-1 to 1573 cm-1. The highest conducting sample contains 50% of NH4CF3SO3 and at room temp. has a cond. of 8.91 ′ 10-7 S cm-1. The model of Rice and Roth has been used to calc. the no. d. 38542-94-8 and 9012-76-4 which are cas registry numbers of chemicals are mentioned. of mobile ions (n), mobility (m) and diffusion const. (D). Cond. was found to be dependent on the no. of mobile ions. Anal. of elec. modulus and dissipation factor (tan d) shows that charge transport occurs through a hopping mechanism. .
