Colorless fine resin powders
Colorless fine resin powders. Nanba, Yasumichi; Toida, Makoto (Sumitomo Chemical Co., Ltd., Japan). Japan. Kokai JP 51111865 2 Oct 1976 Showa, 5 pp. (Japanese). (Japan). CODEN: JKXXAF. CLASS: IC: C08J003-12. APPLICATION: JP 75-37606 27 Mar 1975.In this article, certain chemicals are used. Some of their cas registry numbers are 9003-07-0 and 4081-14-5 DOCUMENT TYPE: Patent CA Section: 36 (Plastics Manufacture and Processing) Synthetic resins dissolved in a mixt. of halogenated hydrocarbon (solvent) and ethylene glycol alkyl ether (nonsolvent) were cooled or heated in the presence of one or more phenolic or phosphite antioxidants to give colorless resin powders. Thus, 56 parts polyethylene (I) [9002-88-4] was dissolved at 80.degree. in a mixt. of ethylene glycol monoethyl ether (contg. 4.3 mmole/l. of an org. peroxide) 100, tris(nonylphenyl)phosphite [26523-78-4] 0.25, and tetrachloroethylene 403 parts and the solvent was evapd. at reduced pressure to give a white I powder. .
Thermooxidative stability of bisphenols
Thermooxidative stability of bisphenols. Gorodetskii, E. T.; Bogdanov, M. V.; Kuibida, L. S. (Ternopol'sk. Gos. Univ., Ternopolsk, USSR). Izv. Vyssh. Uchebn. Zaved., Khim. Khim. Tekhnol., 34(8), 91-5 (Russian) 1991. CODEN: IVUKAR. ISSN: 0579-2991. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 37 (Plastics Manufacture and Processing) TGA study of thermooxidative resistance of a series of bisphenol antioxidants prepd. There are some commonly used reagents with their cas registry numbers 4081-14-5 and 91432-10-9 in this article. by reaction of 2-tert-butyl-4-methylphenol with aliph. aldehydes showed that substitution of the H atom in the CH2 bridge tying together the arom. rings by a Me group led to an increase of the thermal stability of the antioxidant, whereas substitution of this H atom by a higher alkyl group led to a decrease of the thermal stability of antioxidants. The kinetic order and activation energy of degrdn. of the antioxidants was detd. .
