Control of processing properties of tin stabilized rigid PVC by different lubricants
Control of processing properties of tin stabilized rigid PVC by different lubricants. Rothenpieler, Arne (Ger.). Gummi, Asbest, Kunstst., 31(2), 81-2, 84 (German) 1978. CODEN: GAKSA2. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 36 (Plastics Manufacture and Processing) The processing properties were detd. in a kneader and an extruder for mixts. of PVC [9002-86-2] 100, dibutyltin mercaptide [4253-22-9] 0.13, Ca stearate 0.5, chalk 0.5, and paraffin or polyethylene (I) [9002-88-4] (mol. wt. 1000, 1500, 1600, 1700, or 3500, d. 0.92-0.96) 0.2-1.0 part. I with mol. wt. 1500 and d. 0.94 had a good lubricating effect and paraffin had a poor lubricating effect.
Heat-resistant PVC
Heat-resistant PVC. Ohara, Minoru; Takigawa, Isamu; Sakaue, Katsuyoshi; Horioka, Mikihiko (Sekisui Chemical Co., Ltd., Japan). Japan. JP 52041783 B4 20 Oct 1977 Showa, 4 pp. (Japanese). (Japan). CODEN: JAXXAD. CLASS: IC: C08L027-04. APPLICATION: JP 73-89592 8 Aug 1973. DOCUMENT TYPE: Patent CA Section: 36 (Plastics Manufacture and Processing) A heat-resistant PVC [9002-86-2] compn. contg. dibutyltin sulfide [4253-22-9] or dioctyltin sulfide (I) [3572-47-2] is prepd. Thus, PVC 100, Ca(OH)2 4, Ca stearate 1, I 0.3, low-mol.-wt. polyethylene 0.5, and stearic acid 0.5 part were mixed to give a compn. with heat resistance ~15 min compared with ~5 min for a compn. without I under the same conditions.
