Thus, in suspension polymn. of styrene and acrylonitrile, coating of the app. surface with 1:1 C.I. Direct Blue 71 [4399-55-7]-Na silicate compn. in a dot size 50 m and coverage 60-95% resulted in no scale formation, whereas substantial scale formation was obsd. when the coverage was 100%, i.e. not in a dot pattern. .

(cc) of aggregation being 0.00042M and 0.00024M, resp., in 0.025M NaCl. cc Decreased with increasing electrolyte concn. due to dehydration by electrolytes and a decrease in apparent ionization of free and aggregated dyes. At low electrolyte concns., aggregation is more affected by K+ than by Na+. Dye aggregation decreases with increasing temp.
