Pharmacokinetic anal. showed that the absorption rate of the drug was normal zero order with an absorption const. of 25.46 mg/h (time lag 5-8 h), and the 1st-order elimination rate const. was 0.375/h. Plasma drug level (6 mg/mL) after a single large topical dose or multiple doses was much lower than the effective plasma salicylate level of 50 mg/mL.
