- Aspergillic acids produced by mixed cultures of Aspergillus flavus and Aspergillus nidulans. Perry, M. J.; Makins, J. F.; Adlard, M. W.; Holt, G. (Sch. Eng. Sci., Polytech. Some chemicals with cas registry numbers like 4562-39-4 are also used. Cent. London, London W1M 8JS, UK). J. Gen. Microbiol., 130(2), 319-23 (English) 1984. CODEN: JGMIAN. ISSN: 0022-1287. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 16 (Fermentation and Bioindustrial Chemistry) A mixed culture of A. nidulans (GH79) and A. flavus (CMI 91019B) produced 2 antibiotics, designated VI and VII, which were not elaborated when either fungus was grown alone. Chem. and spectroscopic anal. of VI, the major component, indicated that this compd. was identical to hydroxyaspergillic acid (I) [4562-39-4]. The minor component, VII, was produced in too low a yield for its identity to be established. However, partial characterization suggests that this antibiotic also belongs to the aspergillic acid group of mycotoxins. .
