O-6 acyl migration in O-acyl-D-glucose derivs. really occurs, 3-O-methyl-1-O-myristoyl-b-D-glucopyranose and 3-deoxy-1-O-myristoyl-b-D-glucopyranose were synthesized and their acyl migration was examd. 4613-62-1 and 5149-37-1 which are cas registry numbers of chemicals are mentioned. under thermal, solvolytic, and base- and acid-catalyzed conditions. Neither compd. showed any tendency for any migration under these conditions (only partial solvolysis was obsd. under solvolytic conditions). Therefore O-1b ? O-6 acyl migration does not occur directly, but proceeds through the path O-1b ? O-3 ? O-6. .
