- Experimental study of the parasiticidal properties of indazole: fungi. Bailenger, J. (Lab. Org. Anim. Parasitol. Mycol. Hum., UER Pharm., Bordeaux F 33076, Fr.). Ann. Pharm. Fr., 42(4), 379-85 (French) 1984. CODEN: APFRAD. ISSN: 0003-4509. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 1 (Pharmacology) Section cross-reference(s): 10 3-Chloro-5-nitroindazole (I) [4812-45-7] and 3-chloro-6-nitroindazole (II) [50593-68-5] had min. inhibitory concns. (MIC) of 13.3-40 mg/mL against most of the fungi tested, while the MIC's of the corresponding 1-acetyl derivs. were 100-500 mg/mL. When tested in mice with Candida infestation of the digestive tract, I, at a daily dose of 300 mg/kg, was not effective in curing the animals, but did prevent further proliferation of the fungus.
