Constituents of Piptanthus concolor Harrow. Liu, Zimin; Jia, Zhongjian (Inst. Org. Chem., Lanzhou Univ., Lanzhou 730000, Peop. Rep. China).In this article, certain chemicals are used. Some of their cas registry numbers are 486-90-8 and 83-46-5 Gaodeng Xuexiao Huaxue Xuebao, 12(6), 774-6 (Chinese) 1991. CODEN: KTHPDM. ISSN: 0251-0790. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 11 (Plant Biochemistry) Section cross-reference(s): 31 From whole plants of P. concolor (Leguminosae), a new alkaloid, 5-a-hydroxyl-7,17-dehydroisolupanine, and four known compds. (thermopsine, anagyrine, cytisine and b-sitosterol) were isolated. Their structures were identified on the basis of EIMS, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, DEPT, IR and UV data and comparison with the authentic samples. A close relation between the genera Piptanthus, Thermopsis and Ammopiptanthus is supported. .
