- Stability of the principal dyes in dragee manufacture. II. The effect of the active principle contained in the core on the stability of dyes. Delonca, H.; Laget, J. P.; Saunal, H.; Ahmed, K. (Inst. Eur. Sci. Pharm. Ind., Montpellier F-34060, Fr.). Pharm. Acta Helv., 58(12), 332-7 (French) 1983. CODEN: PAHEAA. ISSN: 0031-6865. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 63 (Pharmaceuticals) With acetylsalicylic acid [50-78-2] and ascorbic acid [50-81-7] used as active principles, the presence of CO2H induced degrdn. of a no. 915-67-3 and 2611-82-7 are also in the experiment. of dyes contg. OH or NH2 groups. The absence of such groups in other dyes such as Quinoline Yellow [8004-92-0] and Erythrosine J [518-39-8] improves the stability. Thus, the stability of the dyes depends on their chem. nature, nature of the chem. principle, physicochem. properties of excipients, method of storage, light effects etc. Patent Blue V [129-17-9], Quinoline Yellow and tartrazine [1934-21-0] are relatively stable to light, while Yellow Solid and Erythrosine J decomp. fairly rapidly. .

DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 22 (Physical Organic Chemistry) Aspirin hydrolysis in micelles of CTAB and HO- at (1-8) ′ 10-2 M concns. was explained by the pseudophase ion-exchange model. The 2nd-order rate const. in the micellar pseudophase is ~0.01 times that in H2O, which explains the inhibition effect at high surfactant concn. .
