DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 13 (Mammalian Biochemistry) After perfusion of the frog olfactory cavity with Con A, the electroolfactogram responses to small, sweaty smelling carboxylic acids (pyrazine 2-carboxylic acid, 3-pyridylacetic acid, nicotinic acid, cyclopentanecarboxylic acid, isovaleric acid, butyric acid, and acrylic acid) were preferentially inhibited. No significant inhibition of the electroolfactogram signals to most of the noncarboxylic acid odorants tested was found, with the exception of t-butanethiol. .
