DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 26 (Biomolecules and Their Synthetic Analogs) Section cross-reference(s): 22, 33 Electron impact (EI) mass spectra were recorded for 43 flavones and flavonols, 7 isoflavones, 18 flavanones and dihydroflavonols, and 11 chalcones and dihydrochalcones. Chem.In this article, certain chemicals are used. Some of their cas registry numbers are 29976-75-8 and 5128-44-9 ionization (CH4) mass spectra were recorded for 9 flavonoid glycosides. The flavonoids gave significant fragments from the A and B rings that were classified according to the systems of T. J. Mabry and K. R. Markham (1975) and R. J. Grayer (1989). Often sufficient information could be obtained from the fragmentations to det. the mol. wt., the elemental formula, the substitution patterns in the A and B rings, and the class of flavonoid. The CI (CH4) mass spectra of the flavonoid glycosides gave significant fragments for the [M+1]+ of the aglycon and the sugars. However, fragments from fission of the A and B rings were very weak. .

The main components of essential oil were: a- and b pinene, camphene, limonene, bornyl acetate, borneol, caryophyllene oxide and ent-13-epi-mannoyl oxide. The phenolic fraction contained: 3,7,3',4'-tetramethyl quercetin, 7,3',4'-trimethyl quercetin, 7,3',4'-trimethyl luteolin, 7,3'-dimethyl luteolin, 7,4'-dimethyl apigenin and (-)-betuligenol. .
