DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 63 (Pharmaceuticals) Three forms of prednisolone (I) [50-24-8] were isolated, identified by IR spectroscopy and characterized by SEM, x-ray powder diffraction and hot stage microscopy. The 3 forms have the characteristic IR bands of I (1650, 1610 and 1701 cm-1). Cell parameters were assigned to forms and I and III. Forms I and III are true polymorphs; form II is probably a twin 1.5 hydrate. ..
