Thus, heating (p-ClC6H4)3CCl.AlCl3 (prepd. from 200 g p-ClC6H4CCl3 [5216-25-1] and PhCl [108-90-7]) and 100 g m-MeC6H4NH2 [108-44-1] 3 h at 125-30°, adding 600 g o-MeC6H4NH2 [95-53-4], and heating 4-6 h at 170-5° gives 400 g bis(4-o-toluidinophenyl)(4-m-toluidinophenyl)methyl chloride [66729-32-6], the purity of which is improved by conversion to the sulfate in 50% H2SO4 at 40°. .Some commonly used reagents like 5216-25-1 is used in this experiment..
