DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 5 (Agrochemicals) Section cross-reference(s): 11 Isopimpinellin (I) [482-27-9], bergapten (II) [484-20-8], xanthotoxin (III) [298-81-7], kokusagine (IV) [482-32-6], evoxine (V) [522-11-2] and japonine (VI) [30426-61-0] were isolated and identified in the leaves of O. japonica as feeding inhibitors against Spodoptera litura. I exhibited the most potent activity among above substances at the feeding inhibitory test. The isolated V was the optical antipode of the previously reported one (Hughes, G. K. and Ritchie, E., 1954). .
