DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 5 (Agrochemical Bioregulators) A comparative study was made on polarog. anal. of the aq. prepn. of Shachongshuang (I) [52207-48-4] using calomel and Ag amalgam as ref. electrode. When the Ag amalgam electrode was used as an internal ref. electrode, the complex polarog. peak, which was previously reported to be the polymn. product of Na2S2O3 with the mono- or di-Na salts of I, apparently resulted from anodic concn. polarization of Na2S2O3. Thus, the majority of I exists as Me2NCH(CH2SSO3R)CH2SSO3Na and MeNCH2CH(SSO3R)CH2SSO3Na (R = H or Na) and not as their polymers.

DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 5 (Agrochemical Bioregulators) A simple, rapid and sensitive method is presented for the detn. of pesticides such as Shachongdan [52207-48-4] and Shachongshuang [52207-48-4] by differential pulse polarog. The effect of pH and surfactants was studied. A good linear relationship exists between peak current and concn. of the pesticides in the range 1.2 ′ 10-4-6.0 ′ 10-6 and 5.0 ′ 10-6-3.0 ′ 10-5M in Na3PO4-H3BO3-NaOH buffer soln. The compn. of the pesticide products and their polarog. behavior are also discussed.
