A 2 mL aliquot was mixed with 2 mL of a soln. of o-phenylenediamine (300 .mu.g/mL) in 10% HOAc and the mixt. was held in a boiling water bath for 30 min. After cooling, its absorbance was detd. at 348 nm. This method had an error of 2.4%, and its precision was greater than that of other known methods for ketogulonate detn.
