DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 5 (Agrochemicals) The EPTC [759-94-4] rate-variety combinations which were most improved in both stand and vigor by the addn. of R-25788 [37764-25-3] were Iochief, Seneca Chief, and Wonderful. Similar results were produced by EPTC + R-29148 [52836-31-4]. Vernolate [1929-77-7] plus antidote addns. greatly improved stand and vigor of Bellringer and Iochief over that of vernolate alone. Butylate [2008-41-5] at 8 lb/A significantly improved stand and vigor of Iochief by addns. of R-25788. In general, butylate + R-25788 often decreased vigor of the corn varieties, as did butylate + R-29148. EPTC with antidotes caused least amt. of injury to Bellringer at all rates and Wonderful at 4 lb/A. Vernolate without antidotes did not injure Bellringer or Seneca Chief at higher rates. Butylate produced negligible injury to Bellringer and Wonderful at all rates and to Seneca Chief at the two higher rates without any antidotes.
