(glyoxal, methylglyoxal, etc.) to form ketopyrazines which can be detd. spectrometrically at 355 nm in aq. soln. I was detd. in urine at 375 nm after reaction with methylglyoxal followed by acidification. The absorption vs. concn. curve was linear for 20-100 mg I/ml urine. .
