DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 1 (Pharmacology) Fenbendazole (I) [43210-67-9], its 2 metabolites I-sulfone [53716-50-0] and I-sulfoxide [54029-20-8], and triclabendazole sulfone [100648-13-3] and triclabendazole sulfoxide [100648-13-3] were simultaneously detd. in plasma of various domestic animals (sheep, cattle, horses) by HPLC on Hypersil SAS, with H3PO4-MeCN as the mobile phase and spectrophotometric sample detection at 300 nm. Plasma contg. the drugs, their metabolites, and mebendazole (internal std.) was extd. in EtOAc; the yield of the drugs from plasma was 85%, except for triclabendazole sulfoxide (yield = 60-70%). The limit of detection was 10-20 ng/mL for the various substances; the between- and within-assay coeffs. of variation are reported. .
