- The mass spectra of some 2- and 4-pyridylethylamines
- The mass spectra of some 2- and 4-pyridylethylamines.There are some reagents like 5452-83-5 is used in this study. Czuba, W.; Rutkowski, K.; Kowalski, P. (Inst. Org. Chem. Technol., Tech. There are some reagents like 5452-83-5 is used in this study. Univ., Krakow, Pol.). Org. Mass Spectrom., 13(4), 203-6 (English) 1978. CODEN: ORMSBG. ISSN: 0030-493X. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 22 (Physical Organic Chemistry) The mass spectra of 19 N,N-disubstituted (2-aminoethyl)pyridines are reported and their main fragmentation paths analyzed. Both a- and b-cleavage occur, but b-cleavage predominates. The occurrence of a-cleavage was shown by the presence of [vinylpyridine]·+ and [ethylenepyridine]·+ ions and by further fragmentation of [R2NH]·+ ion radicals. Pyrroloethyl- and [(ethylphenylamino)ethyl]pyridines are more stable than N,N-dialkylaminoethyl-, pyrrolidinoethyl-, piperidinoethyl- and morpholinoethylpyridines. ..
