Daconil 2787 [1897-45-6] and Tecto [148-79-8] were the least effective against the scab disease. .

Triforine [26644-46-2], fenarimol [60168-88-9], imazalil [35554-44-0], and captafol [2425-06-1] appeared less effective and benomyl [17804-35-2] was ineffective. Bitertanol or benomyl plus captan [133-06-2] sprays applied in the mid-growing season gave very effective control of leaf spot in the 1st and 2nd years of prodn. and plant vigor was noticeably increased. Triforine was less effective in controlling leaf spot. The half lives of bitertanol, fenarimol and prochloraz on the fruit were 3.6 to 6.5 days. .
