Method for determination of glyphosate residues in natural waters based on polarography of the N-nitroso derivative
Method for determination of glyphosate residues in natural waters based on polarography of the N-nitroso derivative. Broenstad, Jan O.; Friestad, Hakon O. (Chem. Res. 7732-18-5 and 1071-83-6 are also occured in this study. Lab., Agric. Univ. Norway, Norway). Analyst (London), 101(1207), 820-4 (English) 1976. CODEN: ANALAO. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 61 (Water) Section cross-reference(s): 5 The glyphosate [1071-83-6] present in the aq. sample was cleaned up and concd. by chromatog. on an anion exchange column, eluted with 0.1N HCl, and then nitrosated by treatment with H2SO4-KBr-NaNO2. After destruction of excess HNO2, the nitrosated sample [56516-72-4] was detd. by differential pulse polarog., using the well defined -0.78 V wave. Relative std. deviation was 22.8% at the detection limit of 35 .mu.g/l., and 2.3% at 210 .mu.g/l. .
N-Nitrosamine formation in soil from the herbicide glyphosate
N-Nitrosamine formation in soil from the herbicide glyphosate. Khan, Shahamat U.; Young, J. Christopher (Chem. Biol. Res. Inst., Agric. Canada, Ottawa, Ont., Can.). J. Agric. Food Chem., 25(6), 1430-2 (English) 1977. CODEN: JAFCAU. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 5 (Agrochemicals) Formation of N-nitrosoglyphosate [56516-72-4] was obsd. when different soils were treated with NaNO2 and the herbicide glyphosate [1071-83-6] at elevate levels. The highest yield was noted in soil low in org. matter and clay contents; however, nitrosation was not affected by soil pH. At low levels of glyphosphate (5 ppm) and NO2-N (2 ppm) the formation of N-nitrosoglyphosate in soil was not obsd.
