Synthesis and antiinflammatory activity of certain quinoline-3-carboxylic acid derivatives related to flufenamic acid. Aboul-Enein, H. Y.; Ismail, M.; Ibrahim, S. E. (Coll. Pharm., King Saud Univ., Riyadh, Saudi Arabia). Drugs Exp. Clin. Res., 9(8-9), 585-9 (English) 1983. CODEN: DECRDP. ISSN: 0378-6501. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 27 (Heterocyclic Compounds (One Hetero Atom)) Section cross-reference(s): 1 Chlorination of hydroxyquinolinecarboxylate I (R = R1 = OH), followed by partial hydrolysis, gave I (R = Cl, R1 = OH). I (R = Cl, R1 = OH) was aminated to give aminoquinolinecarboxylates I (R = NHC6H3ClMe-6,2, NHC6H3ClMe-4,2, NHC6H4CF3-3; R1 = OH), which had antiinflammatory activity. I (R = R1 = OH) inhibited formation of granulomae in rats at 50 mg/kg day for 7 days, giving granulomae of 16.4 ± 0. 574-92-5 and 95-69-2 which are cas registry numbers of substances are two of reagents here.2 mg vs. 25.18 ± 0.21 mg in controls. .
