Thus, a mixt. contg. 10% poly(vinyl alc.) 20 and Na salt of 4-(2,2-diethoxy)ethoxy-4'-sulfochalcone (prepd. by reacting bromoacetaldehyde di-Et acetal with p-hydroxybenzaldehyde and condensing the obtained product with Na p-acetylbenzenesulfonate in alk. medium) 6 g was reacted at pH = 2 and at 70° for 3 h. The obtained photopolymer was pptd. with Me2CO, washed, dried, and dissolved in H2O to give a 10% soln. and coated on a polyester support. The dried coating was imagewise exposed to a 2 kW actinic light source at a distance of 75 cm for 15 s and developed with cold H2O to give an image. .
