Production method of this chemical: The 1-Oxa-2-silacyclohexane, 2,2-dimethyl- could be obtained by the reactant of chloro-(4-chloro-butoxy)-dimethyl-silane. This reaction needs the reagent of Na, and the solvent of decane. The yield is 59 %. In addition, this reaction should be taken for hours at the temperature of 130 - 165°C.

Uses of this chemical: The 1-Oxa-2-silacyclohexane, 2,2-dimethyl- could react with bromoethane, and obtain the ethyl(4-hydroxybutyl)dimethylsilane. This reaction needs the reagent of Mg, and the solvent of diethyl ether. The yield is 80 %.
