DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 60 (Sewage and Wastes) The coagulation of the disperse and acid-dyes in wastewater by Al2(SO4)3.18H2O, as a tertiary treatment, is described. Satisfactory coagulation of the disperse RN-Blue GLS [63952-49-8] and Dianix Black HGFS [63952-36-3] dyes was obsd. by 25-37.5 mg/L of coagulant at pH 5-9. But the acid dye, Metanil yellow [587-98-4] was only removed about 30%. Na dodecylbenzenesulfonate (<100 mg/L) had no significant effect on coagulation.
