Action of triphenylphosphine, -stibine and -arsine on some a-dicarbonyl compounds: an efficient synthesis of pigments
Action of triphenylphosphine, -stibine and -arsine on some a-dicarbonyl compounds: an efficient synthesis of pigments. Boulos, Leila S.; El-Kateb, Ahmed A. (Natl. Res. Cent., Dokki-Cairo, Egypt). Chem. Ind. (London), (22), 864-5 (English) 1983. CODEN: CHINAG. ISSN: 0009-3068. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 41 (Dyes, Organic Pigments, Fluorescent Brighteners, and Photographic Sensitizers) Section cross-reference(s): 27 Ph3P [603-35-0] reacted with isatin [915-65-1], N-methylisatin [2058-74-4], naphtho[2,1-b]furan-1,2-dione (I) [6540-43-8], or acenaphthenequinone (II) [82-86-0] in toluene or xylene to give III(R = H) [479-41-4], III(R = Me) [83156-39-2], IV [89477-78-1], and [D1,1'-biacenaphthene]-2,2'-dione [13286-14-1] in 95, 90, 90, and 75% yield, resp. Ph3P was converted to Ph3PO in the reaction. 479-41-4 and 603-35-0 are just another two chemicals used in this study. Similar results were achieved in the reaction of Ph3Sb [603-36-1] or Ph3As [603-32-7] with isatin and N-methylisatin, but only Ph3Sb reacted with I and neither Ph3Sb nor Ph3As reacted with II. .
Photopolymerizable compositions
Photopolymerizable compositions. Some chemicals with cas registry numbers like 79869-10-6 are also used. (Showa Denko K. K.; Showa Highpolymer Co., Ltd., Japan). Jpn. Kokai Tokkyo Koho JP 59086604 A2 18 May 1984 Showa, 6 pp. (Japanese). (Japan). CODEN: JKXXAF. CLASS: IC: C08F002-50; G03C001-00. APPLICATION: JP 82-196737 11 Nov 1982. DOCUMENT TYPE: Patent CA Section: 37 (Plastics Manufacture and Processing) Transparent plastics which do not become discolored even when exposed to sunlight for long periods of time are manufd. from compns. of monomers and/or oligomers which form transparent polymers, azobisalkylonitriles, N-free photosensitizers, and triphenylphosphine (I) [603-35-0], triphenylantimony [603-36-1], and/or triphenylarsenic [603-32-7]. Thus, poly(propylene isophthalate) diacrylate [92004-51-8] (mol. wt. 970) 100, trimethylolpropane triacrylate 100, azobisisobutyronitrile [78-67-1] 0.08, methyl-o-benzoyl benzoate [606-28-0] 0.02, and I 0.1 part were mixed, poured into a glass mold, and irradiated with UV to obtain a cured test piece, which had transparency 93% when molded and 91% after 1.5 yr outdoor weathering, compared with 93% and 80%, resp., for pieces prepd. similarly without I. .
