DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 16 (Fermentation and Bioindustrial Chemistry) The toxicity, chem. stability, and filtration efficiency of an N-type microporous filter membrane (MFM) were tested. The MFM did not show noticeable toxicity when added to microbial cultures or on injection of MFM ext. into mice. No swelling, deformation, or degrdn. of the MFM was obsd. on incubation with various org. solvents or drugs, indicating that the MFM is chem. stable. 69-53-4 and 61-33-6 are just another two chemicals used in this study. The MFM effectively and efficiently filtered ampicillin [69-53-4] and penicillin [61-33-6] with acceptable purity from microbial culture broths. .
