DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 22 (Physical Organic Chemistry) The polarog. redn. of 3-, 5-, 6-, and 7-nitroindoles takes place in one stage at 6 F in acid medium, in 2 stages at 4 and 2 F in neutral medium, and in one stage at 4 F in alk. medium. As a result of the chem. reactions in soln. 6146-52-7 and 4769-96-4 are just another two chemicals used in this study., the coulometric values are deficient in acid medium (4 F) and excessive in alk. medium (5 F) where there is a dismutation of the (hydroxyamino)indole. .
