Maternal body-wt. gain was reduced by the high dose of each dye and the intermediate dose of II. Rats given the high dose of II showed an increase in resorptions and a decrease in fetal body wts. No embryotoxic or fetotoxic effects were obsd. with I. Evaluation of fetuses for gross, visceral and skeletal anomalies revealed no statistically significant differences between dye-treated and vehicle-control groups but showed an increase in the incidence of abnormal fetuses in the group exposed to vitamin A, the pos. control. .
