Good results (i.e., uniform contraction, low wt. losses, and low stresses), were obtained by keeping the temp. during pressing below 240.degree. and using <2% PhSO3H [98-11-3] or ZnCl2 as catalysts. .

The concn. of these components in air above the resins depended on conditions of the expts., and in some cases exceeded the max. permissible concn. in industrial establishments. .
