The absorbance values of the colored species are measured at the wavelength of max. absorption. The methods are precise andaccurate.

Deacetylation of II gave the corresponding amino compd. (III) [94789-81-8].Several reagents such as 624-18-0 is used here. Twelve other I were similarly prepd. Formulations contg. II or III produced gray and red dyeings, resp., on bleached hair. Formulations contg. other I and their application to hair are also described. .
