The initial ester fraction contained di-Me adipate [627-93-0] 27.4, di-Me glutarate [1119-40-0] 6.3, di-Me succinate [106-65-0] 5.4, Me valerate [624-24-8] 0.5, Me caproate [106-70-7] 0.9, and Me propionate [554-12-1] 0.01%. The reaction product contg. a mixt. of 2-ethylhexyl esters of the above acids was useful as plasticizer for PVC [9002-86-2].
